Lost a rental phone

Hi, we've rented a phone from BT for a fair number of years but stopped using it a while ago after buying a new one when I think the phone was thrown out! I was wondering what BT's stance is on things like this, the phone is pretty old now (we're talking quite a number of years). The model of the phone was BT Freestyle 320. How would we go about cancelling said contract? Would we be subject to some kind of charge? If so, how substantial would it be?

Re: Lost a rental phone

I am sure that if you contact the service dept on 150 or 0800 800 150 and tell them you no longer want to rent a phone I am sure that if you have had the phone for sometime that they will not ask for it back.
