Lost emails

Hi, I see a few forum members have asked about lost emails. I seemed to have lost all sent emails, but I have been able to find emails prior to 4th December 2018, and after 8th July 2019, but those in between these dates don't seem to appear anywhere. Can anyone suggest how to recover these emails please?

Hi, welcome to the forums.

Can you say if you are only using webmail and not other device to access your email account?

Which type of account is it, BTYahoo or BTMail? In webmail a Yahoo image is top left for BTYahoo.

Re: Lost emails

Hi Andy_N, I access my emails using Apple devices (iPhone, iPad and Mac Book Pro). I rarely use webmail access. It is an BTMail account.

I have used my iPad and iPhone for the last few years, and have used MBP since September lat year.

Thanks.

I have seen a few times where after a while (a few days or more) when suddenly the emails just appear.  If you've not used any delete function on the devices, or filters etc - then maybe it's a glitch. However it might need more in depth searching where the only people who can do this are the moderators.

Hopefully they will read your post and initiate a contact with you.

Re: Lost emails

Thanks, contact from a moderator would be very helpful, is there any way I can make this more likely to happen please?

Re: Lost emails

Hi @AndrewRMason,

If you log into WebMail are you able to see the missing emails?

Thanks for checking within WebMail if you are unable to see the sent emails in WebMail we are going to need to take a look into this for you.

I've sent you a Private Message with details on how you can get in contact with the mod team.

Thanks

Matt

Re: Lost emails

The report from BT is that lost emails can only be reinstated if reported within a week. I guess we all need to be checking all our folders every three or four days.
