Low Upstream Noise Margin

We suffered a rather extensive power cut yesterday, checked the router once if had powered back up a few hours later and I have an upstream noise margin of 5.1db.

Seems like an odd figure as I know the downstream can drop below 6db but I've never known the upstream to do that.

Re: Low Upstream Noise Margin

unless it causes you a problem then I would not bother about it and it is giving you a bit more up speed than your attainable

Re: Low Upstream Noise Margin

No it's not at all. Just curious as to why it may have happened.
Never going to complain at more speed unless it makes the line unstable. 🙂
