Thank you once again.
BTW the results from the BT SpeedTest and from Speedtest.net vary considerably...
Here's what Speedtest.net tests my speeds as (and these fit much more with my user experience) :-
BT will only accept speed test carried out on their speed tester.
On the phone to BT just now and they've passed me to "Retention Team"
All I really want is an engineer to come out, look at the line and replace any bits that are decrepit / stretched / corroded.
The retention team passed me to a fault-report team who "reset" the line - not sure what that means.
Since then the latency and long pings has significantly improved, but the download speeds are remain the same.
Being on the phone to the fault-team reminded me that my line is very quiet - callers always complain that they can't hear me, which was the case while on the phone to the fault-team. I'd forgotten that because I hardly ever make voice calls from the landline.
Can you repost your hub stats? Looking at your previous set there is a little room for improvment possible but not much.
Thanks for that, I think you should be able to get about 12Mbps over a wired connection, slightly less over wired as there are more overheads with wireless.
A mod will most likely drop in on this for you.
