Hi,
Just phoned from Mobile to Landline and the connection dropped on the broadband.
Thanks.
Mike
then it certainly sounds like a high resistence fault and needs an engineer visit. the fault will normally be a joint somewhere outside your home but you will not get engineer visist unless you agree the standard charge if problem in your home. that is whole reason for using test socket which eliminates your home set up
Hi,
Just an update.
Open Reach Engineer booked for today 1-6pm.
Received phone call at 4.42pm from Open Reach to say engineer can not make it today.
Now wondering where I send my invoice for £99 for sitting in waiting for them like a complete **bleep** all afternoon!!!!
Please Please Please, can someone look at the speed on my line, it has now dropped to 2.5mbps. I refuse to book another engineer and waste another afternoon.
Mike.
with a high resistence fault your need an engineer visit to fix it - need to arrange another visit
Not very helpful, but thanks!
Mike.
sorry but there is no alternative you need an engineer visit to fix your problem
Hi,
Open Reach engineer has today replaced the phone line from the outside of the house to the telephone pole.
He seemed to think there may be some damage in the wire as it was the orginal grey cable?
The phone line is no longer crackling and the broadband is no longer resetting when someone phones (or we make a phone call).
I have restarted my broadband but it continues to be running at around 2.5 - 2.7 mbps.
Is there someone who could look at this for me now?
Thanks.
Mike.
