Waits for john46 to defend BT and blame solar flares...

Re: Major Packet Loss

I have nothing much to add to this thread other than to say I'm currently experiencing a 17% packet loss and I've been unable to work from 2000-2230 BST for the last three days due to this.  I work with streaming video which comes from the united states, and our busiest time is 8-10:30pm.

I just cannot understand why it's taking BT this long to fix this fault, considering how easy it is to diagnose - it's that ge-2-1-0.mpr1.lhr2.uk.above.net router again, and it needs sorting quickly.

Re: Major Packet Loss

Yup, it's laughable how long this is taking.

Re: Major Packet Loss

Agreed - I cannot quite believe that it takes this long to sort out a routing issue when the actual problem device(s) can be pinpointed so easily!

Hi everyone,

Sorry you are having problems again tonight.  Please rest assured the Mod team are working with other parts of BT to move this along for you as quickly as we can.

We'll get you an update soon.

Thx

Re: Major Packet Loss

Glad to know i aint the only person having this problem. First noticed it friday night when it became unusable for a few hours. Was home late saturday so thought it had resolved but last night the same happened. Seemed to be right on 10pm  when it started to fail.

Ironically one of the websites i couldnt connect to was BT's help/contact pages Smiley Frustrated - BBC, Google was all fine, but couldnt reach eveonline.com or the TQ server which ruined my evening!

Some official word on this would be nice and having the status of the service green is just a joke which someone should apologise for....
