Master Socket

Hi

 

i am having sky fibre installed on 19th sept and my question is will the BT chap move my master socket as currently everything is hard wired from the router upstairs . Now the house is not that old and has a phone point in every room apart from the toilets. But the master socket is in the dining room but when we moved in the house had 2 phone lines one of being where the router currently is. So should it not be to much of a problem to put it upstairs as this will save a lot of mucking about.

Hi mikebh50,

 

Unfortunatly as your not a BT Retail Customer we are unable to help you.

 

BT Retail ( a communication provider like sky) do not maintain your line or exchange. This is done by Openreach ( a BTplc group business). BT Retail (who runs the bt.com website and this forum) are only a communication provider and are seperate to Openreach.

 

Openreach maintain the lines and exchanges for all ISP/communication providers in the UK.
