Thanks for that and did it but still got the pop-up. Turns out it was a PUP using a rogue program I hadn't wittingly downloaded. I found that when I used Malwarebytes which blocked the PUP and identified the  rogue program. I uninstalled the rogue  program and got rid of the pop-up.
