McAfee hanging on installation

Hi,

Since yesterday my bundled McAfee antivirus has refused to work with options to turn on the firewall and real-time monitoring not working. I am running Mac Catalina. I have tried to reinstall the package from the BT links and it all seems good until 3/4 of the way through the install and then it hangs.

Anyone got a fix for this please as its sooo annoying not having an antivirus!

After you un-installed it did you run the McAfee removal tool then restart your device before re-installing.

Is your bundled version of McAfee "notarized"?

The linked Support Page from McAfee gives details of what this is all about......

Fantastic gg30340, the installer had run the removal tool for me but there was no prompt to restart the device. Tried just now and bingo! There was a very helpful walkthrough to set up the final details but no real headache! Cheers 😄
