BT have been back to me several times trying to resolve the situation

Current status is that I am not getting the mailer-daemon failures any more as 123.reg added the SPF to my domain but some emails are not getting through.

BT have advised that I put *@bounce.secureserver.net in my list of safe senders. Only did this yesterday so not sure if it is having any influence yet.

Thank you Roger1945.  It is webmail that I showed in my post. Until BTYahoo went away, I was able to use webmail and send email using my alias. BT took this away, so I now use Thunderbird since that sends via BT and has a Reply To that I complete with my alias.
I'd prefer to use webmail and I hoped you'd found a way to use it.
