I have placed an order for BT Infinity and am currently awaiting the MAC code from my current supplier. The engineer is booked to come on the 29th December, so if I give BT the MAC code in the next few days will I still have internet service until that date? I know that with regular broadband you normally dont lose service but I wasn't sure if switching to fibre would be different.
You will still have broadband from your present supplier up until you have told them to cease. If it coincides with when you want BT Infinity to start it should be a seamless process and you will only suffer a short disruption of service while the change over takes place.
