My daughter has been without mobile service since 20th Dec after porting number from o2 obviously we have had Christmas and New year bank holidays but this delay seems unacceptable

Did you manage to get the number ported over to BT? If not, try the Mobile Chat Team and they'll be able to look into this for you.
