Moderator Weekly bulletin on Email Migration Progress and Problems.

Most Community Users would find it helpful if the moderators produced a weekly bulletin on the BT Yahoo migration. It would also reduce the number of queries they have to answer.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the questions around disposable email addresses, we have spoken to the team that are managing the BT Mail service and they have advised us they are following a product roadmap to ensure they develop the email service for our customers to a high standard.

The disposable addresses will be available by the time we migrate Yahoo customers over to Critical Path, we are sorry the function is not there yet and would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause some users.

Thanks

PaddyB

Can we please have the product roadmap published please and progress reported on a weekly basis or when appropriate.  A bit of BT PR would benefit all associated with the community.

Re: Moderator Weekly bulletin on Email Migration Progress and Problems.

My BT Yahoo! Mail account has been hacked twice in the last three months and I am considering closing my account. Is the new BT Mail likely to offer improved security and when is it coming?

Hear hear!

Would it not help customers to have a new category related to Email problems? Problems and issues that appear to be linked to the email migration are proliferating - all our accounts became inaccessible on webmail recently, customers appear to be forced to reset passwords when all that has happened is a From field address spoof, I had some cookie issue where I logged out of webmail but was still logged in when I next loaded the BT Email login page,  I'm getting repeat p/w requests in Thunderbird on one account, those pages to which vofsanity2 referred are still out-of-date.....

Here are some of those issues, mixed among other broadband queries on Other Broadband Queries:

https://community.bt.com/t5/Other-Broadband-Queries/Password-update/td-p/1049282/page/2

.... from that last linked page: "I would suggest that this is (yet another) problem caused by Critical Path, the new email provider which has replaced Yahoo! (though Yahoo! still provide the interface for a lot of accounts").
