Re: Monstrous new BT email upgrade

Go to the message you want to reply to and click on reply. This will open a new box and on the menu bar you will see the icons. The quote one is the fifth one from the left with the quotation mark.

Re: Monstrous new BT email upgrade

Thanks for that but I see Bold, Italics, Underline, Strikethrough and fifth is "spoiler tag" I'm mystified.

 I certainly would not pay £7.50 per month to keep this if I ever change BB provider. I'd rather pay for a real 21st century service.

If you leave BT Broadband you now no longer need to pay to keep your email address. If you are happy just to access it using webmail and not via an email client/app you can "downgrade" to the "Basic" email service.

Are you using a mobile device. If so try using it in landscape mode or using the web browser full version not the mobile version.

Re: Monstrous new BT email upgrade

@Jules68
I totally agree with you. I have contacted both Which (FYI, you don't have to be a member to raise an issue) and Ofcom. While the latter does not have regulatory control over email services, they are querying why BT is charging some customers such high amounts to keep their email addresses AND THE NEED TO MIGRATE YAHOO ACCOUNTS. They have advised me that they are looking into this to consider whether they need to step in and take action. The more of us who report the issue to such bodies, the more likely it is that BT may take action.

What on earth is it  OFCOM's business  to decide whether BT do or don't use Yahoo to provide a mail service!!!

BT no longer charge BTBroadband customers to keep their email address unless the person wants to use the BTPremium email service.

You need to expand your menu bar, then it will appear as an option.  Took me a while to find it too.
