Mail stopped working on laptop for me in the last hour. Just get 'Log in...' with spinning icon - then opens up an empty template followed by 'Attempt aborted' and finally 'Sorry, this request could not be completed'.
BT's own mobile app and Blue Mail (mobile) are both not updating, although Outlook, (mobile) is.
No access to emails, contacts, calendar, anything.
Utterly, utterly dire, especially from a supposed major player in the communications field.
@DanielSwrote:Thanks for letting me know @Stephen5000 and @northwest.
I'm getting this investigated for you. As soon a I know more, I will post up here.
Thanks

Yep, I'm back too, still, it gave me the time to watch that nice Joanna Lumley program on'telly... 🙂
It's beyond me why people can't just come on here and calmly ask is there an issue with the servers or BT mail or whatever.
Yes all the accounts went down on here first sign when the Gmail asked for credentials on the wife's account.
Dramatising never helps
So - what are BT doing/going to do. Today - apart from the slow load, fake error messages, unreadable print, lost contacts etc etc etc - we have lost it altogether - no Inbox, no Sent, no drafts. I am paying £90 pa for this and BT has basically taken away through astonishing and old-world incompetence, my entire and major email support identity. No-0ne has 'upgraded' anything IT as chaoticly as this since around 1980. Where have they been? Who is responsible? Who hired them? Who is going to fire them? Who is going to put it right? WHO IS GOING TO CONATCT US THE USERS AND EXPLAIN HOW THEY ARE GOING TO FIX IT - AND DON'T GIVE ME THE COVID 19 RUBBISH ABOUT 'NO-ONE HERE TO DEAL WITH IT'. THEY MANAGED TO **bleep** UP THE ENTIRE SERVICE WHILE COVID 19 WAS RAGING. I AM GOING TO STOP MY DIRECT DEBIT AND SOMEONE HAS TO SOLVE THIS.
