or if you expand the toolbar by clicking on the 3 dots at the right
Thanks, it was in the exapnded toolbar which I had discovered but completely missed the quote icon.
@tulloch - now, where are these 3 dots you speak of? My email composition screen looks very different to that just shown?
He was talking about replying to a post on the forum not an email.
Regarding group emails; I was shattered to find that all my groups stopped working through this upgrade and spent ages on the phone trying to sort it out. The lists were still there but unusable. I was told I had to re-type every email address. We are in a pandemic emergency and I had a vital residents group that I was urgently regularly communicating with, not to mention another voluntary group of 57....
Sadly I had to redo all my groups, splitting the 57 into two groups. I also had to check each email address as a lot were completely wrong and had been deleted some years ago. All the AOL ending addresses, no matter what letter of the alphabet their first or surnames were, ended up in the letter A section and some had doubled up or trebled.
I am saddened and yes, pretty cross that BT has done this during this emergency and at the end of one of my phone calls to BT, when I had been told to completely redo my group email lists and felt like crying was told "Have a nice evening!"
My sympathy Senior70. Completely unnecessary and BT does nothing.

Here's a scenario for you - an underfunded team is tasked to produce a Web Mail front end - and before they can do it properly they are told to start cutting people over from BT Yahoo - they may even have said - 'but it's not working yet' and been told that a cut-over deadline had been agreed with Yahoo, and to get on with the migration. So they start the migration, knowing that it won't work and that they'll be in the front-line for complaints. But they're canny, they've kept an audit trail of them alerting senior management that it's not fit for purpose, and senior management saying 'go on anyway'. Now all they have to do is fire fight but to encourage, by little engagement, people to go to the media. They can't, but we can. So BT is definitely doing nothing, but which 'bit' of BT and what do we mean by 'nothing'? Just a thought.

As a former software tester I can vouch for the fact that that is a very realistic scenario.
Good scenario Jules but I can't see how it would lead to a failure to take a back up, which would have given me back the 6 years of sent mail which was deleted
