Re: Moved 0.8 miles down the road, internet speed appalling

Go to solution
As john46 said the hh2 should connect just as easy as the hh4 connects unless you have changed some of the settings. If you have then reset with button on back which will take hh2 back to factory settings

Except it doesn't. I have two HH2's and a BTHub4, all have been reset to factory prior to testing. The HH2's do not make a connection to broadband.

Yes I'm using a wired connection.

ADSL connection information from my BTHub4:

19:46:43, 21 Mar. ( 59.510000) DSL noise margin: 11.00 dB upstream, 9.00 dB downstream
19:46:43, 21 Mar. ( 59.420000) DSL line rate: 448 Kbps upstream, 352 Kbps downstream

Are you still using the test socket?

I have alternated between the test socket and regular socket.

Just switched back to the regular socket:

20:55:11, 21 Mar. ( 4167.970000) DSL noise margin: 11.00 dB upstream, 8.20 dB downstream
20:55:11, 21 Mar. ( 4167.900000) DSL line rate: 448 Kbps upstream, 384 Kbps downstream

you really need to stay in the test socket constant restarts will drive your noise margin up which will reduce your connection speed
