Moving home in a couple of weeks

Hi there,

 

I've just recently taken out BT Infinity and I am moving house in a couple of weeks. I've checked availablity at my new address and the cabinet that serves the address is full.

 

I've been told that I will have to drop down to standard broadband until a space in the cabinet becomes available, and then I will be given the option to upgrade back up to infinity.

 

Just wondered if any of you had been through this, and whether it takes long for a cabinet to be upgraded after I've moved and interest has been registered.

It all depends.

Sometimes, there just needs to be a new line card installed. In this instance, capacity can be increased within a few weeks.

If it's totally full, expect anything from 12 months to never.
