Moving house with Infinity; no engineer needed?

Hi, I'm moving my bt infinity to my new house on the 7th of May and have been told via my confirmation email that I won't need an engineer to get online. Is this the case? I'm pretty sure my new house does not have the infinity faceplate my old place had. As you can imagine I'm pretty stressed out about the whole thing so was hoping for some guidance.

Re: Moving house with Infinity; no engineer needed?

What Infinity package is it you have? For new installs Infinity 1 is now a self install with no engineer visit. Infinity 2 is still an engineer visit.

If the house you are moving to has presently got Infinity it will just be a case of you connecting up your Openreach modem, if you have one, and your homehub.

If it doesn't have the correct faceplate, ie a filtered face plate, you will need an engineer to change it or if on Infinity 1 you need to use micro filters.
