Hello,
I need some advice please.
At the end of September, we will be moving houses. I called the customer services to find out which service is available to the house we are moving to. According to the agent, there is no fibre available (even FTTC) so the best speed I could get is between 1mb - 3mb. This is far off from the 300mb I'm getting at the moment.
Obviously I was shocked at what I heard and I think even the agent too as her advice to me was to try and see what others are offering and that is what I did.
After hours of searching... I almost gave up but thought of peeking at what my future neighbors are currently getting.
Based on the information in Openreach's website, the houses on the left and right of the property we will be moving into can have up to 330mb!
Will BT or Openreach be able to hook us up easily since the houses around already have fibre available?
Thanks!

Can you please enter your new address and post the results here. Remove your address details before posting
It would appear that only ADSL is available at your address, however you will get a more accurate result, once you have placed your order, as the address checker is not that accurate
Its possible that FTTP is available, so you may need to speak to one of your neighbours, once you move in.
Thanks @Keith_Beddoe @iniltous
Seems like the houses around mine are on a different cabinet. It's just weird that the house we are purchasing is right in the middle and is the odd one out. Also found articles in the forum about moving cabinets. Seems like I will have to dongle it out until a better connection is available.
Hmm, I suspect that cabinet 17 is the original cabinet serving the area and a new infill cabinet has subsequently been installed and for some reason either your line hasn't been transferred to the new cabinet or the records haven't been updated. I would be extremely surprised if adjacent houses were fed from different cabinets.
How close are the property’s to the left and right that can get much better speeds…is it a regular street so your neighbours are a couple of metres away or is it a remote/rural setting and although ‘neighbours’ their properties are much further away than that …if it’s a more urban rather than rural type setting it couple be a database error
Thank you @licquorice @iniltous for replying.
The way the houses are laid out, I would say it resemble a terraced plot. So they are really close to each other.
