Multicast Exchanges and Router Configuration

If your exchange is configured for multi-cast and you have your own modem and router - should you enable multicast on them so they are ready for any new  services

And pretty sure BT will want you to use the HomeHub for Multicast as well.

unless i can get a modded firmware that enables me to configure the HH3 how I want it to work, then it will only be going on my network when required for diagnosing a major fault - other than that, I'll keep my dlink connected

Re: Multicast Exchanges and Router Configuration

I don't think BT are concerned if you don't use the HomeHub (mulitcast or not).

They may want it used for diagnostics sometimes so they know exactly what they are dealing with.

They won't help you work out faults with other equipment.
