My BT log in issues

Because I never logged into my email account for some months BT very helpfully deleted it. This email is apparently completely non-recoverable and attempting to log into My BT using it as my username results in a refusal. As I am  completely paperless I now have no record of my BT account number, no bills being sent and no way of rectifying a single part of this because I cannot log in.

I've also just applied for BT 1572 and cannot add numbers to it because, as already stated, I cannot log in to My BT and ringing 1572 directly just results in the call  being ended by a mechanical voice stating there was a technical problem, please try again later!!

What I need is for all of my MyBT details to be deleted so I can start over, preferably using an email address that BT can't delete on my behalf without warning. Is this possible?

Re: My BT log in issues

Hi @simonali sorry that your BT email address has been deleted and you can no longer access your BTID.

Please chat with the BTID live chat team and they will be able to help you get a new BTID set up with an active email address.

Cheers
John

Re: My BT log in issues

Right, after multiple attempts, I've managed to change the My BT log in. It seemed every time I tried I got a different set of instructions and something went wrong every time. The system was sending PIN numbers to the defunct email address, telling me I didn't know my date of birth or my mother's maiden name etc. Very frustrating!

Still having issues with the BT 1572/Call Protect thing, though. When I click on manage application I just see 3 bouncing circles and get no further along...
