Hi, Can anyone help? My BT emails folders on the web do not match the ones in my outlook and I can't get them to match up and sync. I have tried to set up new folders and move the mail across then sync but the BT account still does not pick up all changes - only some randomly. I'm at a complete loss as to why. Thanks.
Hello. I think this is probably more an issue for Microsoft than BT. Your BT mail folders on the web are the key record and should be right. If Outlook doesn’t match then perhaps you need to delete your BT account from Outlook and set it up again. Are you using Outlook from Microsoft 365? Have you used the correct server settings in Outlook for your BT account? Outlook and BT don't always call folders by the same name.
Deleted items = trash
Sent items = sent
Junk email = spam
As @AandB says, try setting up the account again.
No my outlook folders are correct but are not syncing with the bt email account. I never use it and have only recently looked and the mail folders on there are a mixture of really out of date and correct. it is really weird.
Have you created your account in Outlook as IMAP or POP3?

If you right click on the top level of the account and select IMAP folders update the list and make sure all folders are subscribed
Thank you, I have done that, some folders aren't there at all and a few can't be subscribed, it saying they don't exist. I am really grateful for your help.
