I have installed BT NetProtect Plus but am unable to set Scheduled Scanning. I click the "Turn on" button (which changes to "Turn Off") and set my schedule, click Apply, but when I return to the Home screen it still shows as Off and asks me to set it up. When I go to try again sure enough it's back to how it started (off). I've been around this circle several times now.
On demand scanning works fine.
I did a custom install omitting parental controls (no children!) and SiteAdvisor.
I'm running Windows 7 if that's relevant.
Hi, you are not alone, I have the same problem.
On vista here. Have installed and uninstalled 3 times, as some users in various forums disgussed the issue and fixed it by using the mcafee uninstall tool and then reinstalling. Unfortunately did not work for me.
Just wanted to add - I've installed NetProtect Plus on a second PC and have exactly the same problem.
Has anyone managed to solve this, or have BT deliberately disabled this feature??
Same problem here running Windows 7 32bit
Tried on a couple of machines, now kicked it into touch and loaded other software for protection.
Not just me then. I'm Win7 32 bit as well - maybe it doesn't like that?
For now I'll run scans manually, and hope this gets fixed.
Do BT staff monitor these forums at all??
