Netprotect security software

What is the general view of Netprotect as provide by BT? Currently I use AVG, Windows defender, adaware etc. That is anything which is free. I would want to install on an ageing Vista PC and. Win7 netbook but am not convinced that a Macafee based product has a great reputation.

Your judgement would be correct.

Re: Netprotect security software

It seems to have a life all of its own; bricking and freezing my PC.

Re: Netprotect security software

It must be just me, I find it works very well most of the time, but yes it has issues. It can be resource hungry!!:(

The latest issue was the unwanted desktop icon on W7, which has now gone.

note: I don't leave it configured as per it's default settings - if I can find a free AV that does what this does, I'll drop BTNP in a flash.
