New BT Converse 2300

Hi Ladies & Gents

I have a new BT Converse 2300 plugged into a line which has caller display enabled.  The phone replaces a Paragon 650 which was showing caller numbers when people called me, but the converse just displays NO CALLER INFO.

How do I enable caller display on this phone?

Also when on a call, if I push the secrecy button, nothing happens.

Any help offered is much appreciated thanks!

Br

Keith

Re: New BT Converse 2300

The message says "The number you have dialled has not been recognised"

I got to the bottom of the caller display problem.  My ADSL filter wasnt working correctly, I swapped for a new one and caller display now works.

BUT

The other keys still dont work .... HANDSFREE, SECRECY, and any stored numbers dial with a prefix 0000 !

BT Converse 2300

Does anybody know why stored numbers in a BT Converse 2300 would dial with a preix 0000 ?

Stored number 0123456789 appears like that on the setup screen but dials 00000123456789

Maybe it simply displays the maximum number of possible digits?

If it actually dialled those zeros, your call would not connect.

Re: BT Converse 2300

Thanks for your reply.

The phone does dial those digits and says, "number not recognised, please hang up"
