Re your response to John, I'm glad someone understands that we're not all having the same experience with the email. I'm still going to hightail it off this forum though. It's not the place for me to be at all. Many thanks again for your patient and very polite response earlier I've taken it all on board and hopefully the only way is up.
We were the first contributors to this thread 12/12/2018 and after 663 responses there has been no real progress to get us back to the previous format which was not broken so why was it fixed with a version that does not work as well. We will look out for the 1000 response mark before we comment again. Happy Chatting
663 or 1,000 or even 100,000 responses it will not be going back to the previous format.
Hi, in reply to Titoengland I was not trying to be superior at all and am sorry if you felt like I was. I was only pointing out what I have discovered from many hours of trial and error. If you can install eM Client as I have you should get some satisfactory results. Incidently I use IMAP instead of POP3 as I use 2 PC`s and a Mobile. Good luck

Sounds a little pompous to me , living in a democracy I find it hard to understand your ( or BTs ) stance on this , surely it is Mythomania , any decent person/Company would hold their hands up , admit they're wrong and correct their errors?

John
I have nothing to do with BT. I do not and have never worked for them so they are my words and not BT's.
It is not being "pompous" nor am I a "mythomaniac". I am being realistic unless of course you know better in which case please enlighten us when the change back to the "old" UI is going to happen.
I fail to see what living in a democracy has got to do with a private company, which you are not forced to be a customer of, changing their web page.
Going from when the new UI was first started to be rolled out about ten months ago and what has been changed and corrected since then I would say that BT have held their hands up and corrected many of the problems and will no doubt continue to do so however I suspect that no doubt what is done some people will just never be pleased with the end result.
EDIT: I should have added that I couldn't care less how the "new" UI looks or works because I very rarely use it because as you may know if you have been reading previous posts, I use an email client rather than webmail.
I have only been accessing it over the past few months to see what forum users have been posting about in order to see if there a a simple setting change or a different way of using the UI that may help the user.
Sorry , maybe I'm a simpleton but ..
" I have nothing to do with BT. I do not and have never worked for them so they are my words and not BT's. "
yet have the temerity to state.... on their behalf ?

Confused...
John
You are indeed confused!
As I said my words and not BT's.
This is what living in a democracy is about, the freedom to express ones self.
