New BT Mail Layout

Hi everyone,

We’ve recently made some improvements to the look of BT Mail. We believe these changes will simplify your use of the service.

We’ve started introducing the changes but not all BT Mail customers will see them at the same time; it’s likely to take a few weeks before this happens. You’ll know when we’ve upgraded your email as you’ll see a welcome message with a short video next time you log in.

Cheers,

Sean

Re: New BT Mail Layout

Thanks for this info - the new format has been imposed on my e-mail and having tried it we would like to revert to the classic version. have tried 'settings' to access 'more setting' where there is said to be an option to do this  - after 'settings' the choice 'more settings' does not appear - how do w go about getting back to the Classic view which worked for us

Re: New BT Mail Layout

Why do you need to change ISP to change email provider? Just get a Gmail address you can use with any ISP.

If you stopped using webmail and used the right tool for the job, a mail client, you wouldn't have a problem with the user interface.

Re: New BT Mail Layout

BT forced this change on me some days ago. After trying to use the new system I got in touch with BT to try to revert to the logical, easily accessible, user-friendly version I had been using. After wasting 2 hours of my time, I was no nearer a solution and gave up! BT was no help whatsoever. I am unable to access folders containing much needed data. I would have stored all of these on usb if there had been any warning of the change in BT mail - but there wasn't. What used to be a simple scan through emails in order to view/sort/discard has become a time-wasting chore. BT cannot have tried the new format on a trial user group as they would have been told it was rubbish. Great for advertisers though as you are bombarded with garbage. Sadly, a double fail for BT as their 'help' staff were unable to help too.

Who is this "we" ?

Who were the beta testers for the new system? Where was the invite?

What was the reason the changes were made, and where were are the reports that made this necessary?

Why are you never transparent about changes that affects a lot of users?

Re: New BT Mail Layout

I have just logged into my e-mail this morning and was presented with the new design.  I'm not pleased!  I can't access any of my folders!  There's no way to scroll down to my folders.  The previous design was so much better.  Can I please have some help with this?!

Re: New BT Mail Layout

I take it we are talking about web access ?

if it's causing problems, can you not setup a imap/ pop3/smtp program such as outlook or use the mail function on an iPad

i never use the web page to access my btinternet Mail. Much quicker and avoids all the flashy extras.
