I am sorry but it is ludicrous to suggest the you have made improvements. The new system does not work and BT need to address the complaints being made or lose customers. I spent 5 hours today trying to resolve my problems but nobody in BT is able to help. BT have forced an unacceptable system on me such that I am left with no email capability on my lap top. Not good enough and unless I get some satisfaction over the weekend I will be moving all my BT services elsewhere as quickly as possible. Maybe Which might be interested in what BT have done.
You have not lost email capability on your laptop. You have possibly lost some functionality on a very poor method of accessing email. Download and configure an email client such as Thunderbird or Claws mail and all will be restored.
Overnight changes must have been made as I can now open emails. However why is there no direct delete button as there used to be and you have to open a drop box? Also very difficult to move emails to folders as now no "move to" button which used to open a dropbox showing all folders and you just clicked on the one you wanted. Now only 6 folders shown and by the time you scroll down to the right one you now have to go back to inbox high light email and drag to folder ---if it is still there. Grrrrrr!
... and if you do use an email client make sure you set it up as an IMAP email account and not a POP3 account. An IMAP account will replicate and populate all the folders that you have already set up on webmail.

If you hover over the email title this opens a list of options on the right which includes the delete button.
Click on the circle to the left of the email title then go to "more" in the menu list then "more" and "move to" and your folders will be shown for you to select.
I agree, the new email format is absolutely rubbish. Why is it necessary to make these changes when the old system was perfectly ok.
The new system seems all about advertising. You cannot as the person states, scroll down your folders.
I am totally fed up and frustrated with this change. BT please relook at this.
Have sorted folders out at last. Go to More and get drop box, highlight more - another drop box - move to and then you highlight folders and you get a drop box with all the folders for you to scroll down and move email. Sorry old method quicker and easier.

I take it you never read the reply I gave you in message 34.
How do you get moved across to the new BT Mail
I got a e-mail about 3 years ago saying I was being moved from Bt yahoo to the New Bt Mail
But was never moved should that have happened by now

The migration stopped in 2014 and is not going to restart. If you were not migrated then you are not going to be migrated now and you can not be moved over.
Confused now. I assumed I was no longer on the Yahoo system. Now I am not so sure?
Still on the old view at the moment.
