New BTYahoo email: Calendar requires separate login

Started the day with BTYahoo server down (http://community.bt.com/t5/Other-BB-Queries/Major-problems-logging-into-BTYahoo-mail/td-p/793610)  and now I find we have a completely new email lay-out - bigger, bolder etc.

I've seen these threads:

http://community.bt.com/t5/Other-BB-Queries/Goodbye-BT-Yahoo-Classic/td-p/793972

and this one about it not working in Chrome: (http://community.bt.com/t5/Other-BB-Queries/BT-Yahoo-Mail-Upgrade-Feb-2013-Does-not-work-in-Chrome/t...)

But my query is different. I note that we now have to log-on separately to the calendar because "the server calendar.yahoo.com at Zimbra requires a user name & password. WARNING. This server requires that your user name and password be sent in an insecure manner (basis authentication without a secure connection."

What the bl**dy h*ll does that mean? Typical BT customer comes last nonsense. No warning - no notification - just shut off the server for a few hours.

Re: New BTYahoo email: Calendar requires separate login

I had a problem with calendar on the new one this morning but I found there are two ways into calendar one on the tab bar that I missed - that one works for me on chrome, on IE9 some of my events are not dispaying correctly when list by 3 months

There is also another calendar on the left under application it seems not to know about any of my data at all and does require additional login credentials. I gave up on it as it was so mickey mouse I assumed it was a pure mistake.

Hope this is the same for you, it works on chrome ( I removed some adblockers to get it working) better than on IE9 for me but I only ever use IE9 to test when layout probalems creep in on chrome. Not tire it on Firefox or Opera though
