all extension sockets should be wired to the terminals 2&5 on te back of the botoom half of the NTE5. if you have an extension wired to the termianls a&B on the back plate then that will cause star wiring and in not good for your broadband
is it connected to the same terminals as the incoming openreach wires? it is up to you what you do but I know what any DIY person would do
cables connected other than to termianls 2&5 are always a potential problem
As far as I can see yes. It's 2 screw fittings.
**EDIT** Here's where the one wire connects
then that is an easy fix
perfect, wasn't sure if it was a grey area or not. I'll get on that 😛
Going to buy an iPlate while I get a punch tool also.
I wouldn't bother with an iplate if you buy anything then get a MK3 insert and add it to your existing master - fitting only takes a few minutes
iplate is just the same as removing the bellwire and that costs nothing
just to show that MK3 just slots in like an iplate but much better
sent email 9/8 and weekends don't count as working days so day 5
