This morning I noticed there is a pending new firmware update (SGAB202226) for my Premium Whole Home WiFi system which is currently on SGAB20121E
I assume it will install automatically as per settings but I’d like to read the release notes to see if any of my issues have been addressed.
Does anyone know if the release notes are posted anywhere ?
unlikely as BT do not normally produce release notes - never done for routers so unlikely for discs
Support told me it turns on the AX3700 disc to disc.
Whether that's true or not is a different matter as there appears to be nowhere in the system to identify it as being active. This is a bit disappointing when the box states it will get an update to turn on AX but the customer is none the wiser as to if BT has actually done it.
In respect of the firmware I have seen another post saying it has messed up their ethernet backhaul, it has done something to the ethernet as I now have devices which are connected to a switch on a different router port showing up as connected to the master disk, this wasn't doing this previously.
Support told me that the last firmware had AX3700 active...
Considering people who have these devices have actually paid money for them then a change log isn’t too much to ask.
Great to see BT taking advice onboard, thank you.
Release notes have now been released
I was told to do the firmware update by BT support and now none of my discs are working, and my wifi network has disappeared, this is not acceptable from what used to be a great company. I’ll be returning my discs too, they are not fit for purpose.. I would urge anyone experiencing problem to return their product and switch to the stable competitor mesh products.
