New Firmware SG4B10002244 delivered

Hi, My Smarthub updated today to SG4B10002244 and it disconnected all the powerline adaptors and now it doesn't even see them when plugged in and wont issue any IP addresses to them so no BT sport at the moment!!!

Re: New Firmware SG4B10002244 delivered

Power line adapters should be banned in the UK. They cause interference to VDSL2. Throw them in the bin!

Reset the home hub to factory default, and then it should be fine.

Re: New Firmware SG4B10002244 delivered and all OK

Even though I am opted out of BT-WiFi the new firmware is saying it's active and broadcasting the two wifi networks Smiley Frustrated

It also prevented me from controlling my Chromecast from my mobile (one is on the 2.4 GHz band, the other on the 5 GHz) but a factory reset has solved this.

VDSL2 runs over twisted pairs or possibly over fibre. Powerline transmissions run over mains power lines. If those two things interfere in any way whatsoever then someone hasn't been paying attention to EMC.

Is there any evidence for this, other than anecdotal?

Re: New Firmware SG4B10002244 delivered

I'm on my third router! All with this firmware.

They have all had the same issue of only giving me 2 IP addresses from it's scope in 2.4 and 5Ghz. The BT DNS servers are not being seen.

I'm now only using fixed IP address and using the Google DNS servers.

I'm waiting for the next firmware to see if that fixes the issues.
