no problem the difference is due to network overheads no one achieves the max rate

Just to update. I'm now getting the following which is more what I was expecting originally.

 

Downstream sync speed:

46.81 Mbps

 

Upstream sync speed:

7.69 Mbps

 

Maximum data rate:

7688 / 45976

 

Noise margin:

5.8 / 5.9

 

Maybe G.INP got turned on for my line.

Yep, there's certainly no 40/20. Just 40/2, 40/10, 55/10 and 80/20. There will soon be a new one, an 18 down but not sure what upload it will have. Probably just 2.

Correct, 18/2 but it won't be available to every line as far as I know.

I'd imagine it will be purely aimed at those who will be on Long Reach VDSL when it eventually becomes available.
