New Issues with Boadband

Got my line sorted out a month or so back after the Hub6a software update

my ip profile dropped from 76 mb to 10 mb

wholesale would not auto reset

so engineer called comfirmed the that line was ok and checked that 2244 was the leasted stable software

and got wholesale to reset also found that the new 5c faceplate replaced by the eng also had a impact on my line speed as it only increased from the 10 mb to only 45mb

removed the plate and went for a ord filter speed increase back to the 70 plus mb

been ok since ????? spoke to soon

the last 24 hrs the hub has been resiyncing and true to form the speed dropped to 3 mb

within the last hr it has resynced again and gone back up to 70 mb

how can the line do this when line tesst show no fault and i cannot hear no line noise

can this be a exchange broadband card fault and bt so no issues for broaband in the Area

I dont want to go though reporting again as it took over 2 months to get sorted out last time

never got any refund for the issues caused by there daff software issues

Any Good Ideas out there would be helpful

Billion 8800NL R2 is reasonably priced and gets good reviews.

Re: New Issues with Boadband

Well

Have given up with the hub 6a and gone back to hub5

the hub 6 started resyncing every half hour

the speed would drop then next time back up to full speed

Will start looking at the other routers soon

Re: New Issues with Boadband

Good advice from Webby ... my billion came this afternoon, set it up just the once, synced up 4megs faster than the Hub6 and SNR is 6db both datastreams ... typical latency 27-30 millisecs. ... minimal INP no interleave latency. The only pain was setting my Chromecasts (2) up but sorted it. 😉

Re: New Issues with Boadband

I have a 7800DXL (ADSL only) at the moment but work begins on our cabinet tomorrow, according to roadworks.org so I'll be ordering the 8800NL soon 🙂

Re: New Issues with Boadband

Night time cometh ... beware the bogieman. See if it gets through the night, worst time. After that you need it to stay connected every night ... then you'll know it wasn't the line, but the hub for deffo.
