We have put together a short survey to capture your feedback in terms of what BT can do when you experience home Wi-Fi issues. We would appreciate it if you could take a couple of minutes to complete a short survey. Read more from here, Fix my home Wi-Fi
I recently had a phone line fitted at my new address and was given a phone number for that line. I'm not even aware of the number myself, yet I am already getting calls from phising companies asking me to take part in surveys/cold callers.
After some searching online I have discovered that this phone number was previously used by someone else back in 2010/2011 at their property.
Am I now stuck with a phone number that could be on any number of databases and survey companies for cold calling, or can I request a new number without a history to stop these calls? I have already told a few companies to remove me from their lists, but it never happens.
This thread may help.
Bear in mind, that the new number may be worse, so a call blocker would be a better idea.
There are only so many phone numbers, so BT has to recycle them. There may be no new phone numbers available in your area.
