Re: New Premium Whole Home Wi-Fi Firmware released 20th April 2020 version SGAB203010

It's a shame as I've now concluded that the only way to make this setup work properly is to purchase a new router to sit between the Virgin Hub 3 and the WHW Premium, flick the Hub 3 into Modem Mode and boom, all issues with dropping out and problems solved.

If you have updated to SGAB203010 and you are still seeing a problem with virgin HUB connection and RED disc , @Dan-O said that the next fix ( update ) is due very soon I would not be looking for workaround yet..

Already worked-around, can't be bothered with waiting (for weeks) for the next update, can even be a cheap router with Gigabit ethernet, job done. WHW Premium kit working amazingly now, couldn't be happier with it.

Re: New Premium Whole Home Wi-Fi Firmware released 20th April 2020 version SGAB203010

It's only fair to provide a progress update. I'm pleased to report that other than a couple of restarts following the firmware upgrade, things seemed to have settled a little. I haven't had any loss of internet (red light) via virgin 3.0 hub for a couple of days and formerly I required at least one hub or network reboot per day. Fingers crossed on maintaining the current stability.

My next challenge is to connect my NAS drive to the WHP via ethernet. Should be a simple task but it was pretty unstable previously. It's an old Buffalo link stations. Does anyone have any first hand experience?

Re: New Premium Whole Home Wi-Fi Firmware released 20th April 2020 version SGAB203010

I recently updated firmware a few days ago and apart from a few red discs losing connection and a few re starts things have settled.

when I log into web app and go to devices I can see my 4 discs, Kitchen, lounge, bedroom 1, bedroom 2 etc.. but can also see three other discs listed with no IP address or devices connected..

wifi Disc 36

wifi disc 56

wifi disc 30

Is this normal?

At any point have you added any other discs to the system and tried to remove them? There appears to be an issue with this as it doesn't fully remove them, I know this as I had a 2 pack which I swapped for a 3 pack and when I removed the 2 pack from my existing 3 pack system they were still showing in the web app. It wasn't until I completed a factory reset that they disappeared.

This system is very messy, BT OBVIOUSLY rushed this to market allowing us to beta test for them.

If you exchanged a set of premium discs and the disc had a new SSID the app would see this as a new network so I can't see how a new set would be on the same app
Just delete the app reinstall the APP again that should fix it

Sorry I am assuming you are using the App and not just the WEB GUI that is only a back up its designed to run and installed using the App
