New User Speed

Go to solution

I have had service for nearly 5 days now and I appear to be stuck at 2 Meg.

Download speedachieved during the test was - 1.8 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 0.4 Mbps-2 Mbps.
 Additional Information:
 Your DSL Connection Rate :8.13 Mbps(DOWN-STREAM), 0.45 Mbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 2 Mbps

I have been away from BT for a couple of years but when I was last with them I was getting 6 or 7 meg,

Is this a stuck profile and what can I do about it?

Thanks

Re: New User Speed

Go to solution

like others on the forum with the same problem you need to stay connected 24/7 for 3/5 days and your profile should reset automatically.  once yo can show 3+ days connection and profile still at 2mb then contact the mods for assistance

contact mods

can take up to 3 working days for mods to contact you

But you need at least 3 days before contacting the mods

Re: New User Speed

Just noticed that Latency is set to Fast. I would have thought that would make the line more unstable so am not sure why it has been set that way.

Re: New User Speed

Your right it can do, however you are reasonably close to the exchange. Its a automatic process, unless you have asked for interleaving to be switched off. Its good that your line can handle fast.
