Re: New customer - tearing hair out with disconnects!

Is that with more than one device or just the laptop?

Re: New customer - tearing hair out with disconnects!

I only tested it with the laptop in this instance but I've been seeing the issue with more than one device

I seem to have messed something up now too... I've reconnected my router where it was, disabled DHCP, plugged back into LAN1 from my hub but can't access the hub settings page

Re: New customer - tearing hair out with disconnects!

It redirects when I hit 192.168.0.1 to /#######/gui so it's obviously getting something but just spins from there

EDIT: Nevermind, that's loading now - must have still been booting. But still got the initial issue

You need to give the Archer an adddress between 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.62

It's all good now - I changed the hub ip range when I first got it to match my old setup to avoid having to make too many changes

Still leaves the question, where on earth do i go from here...

Move house!!! Smiley Happy

I must admit I'm out of ideas now, we seem to have eliminated everything, it's very odd.

It was that (and later moving broadband supplier) that got me into this mess 😉

Re: New customer - tearing hair out with disconnects!

One more thing that may add to the conundrum, the frequency of disconnects does seem to change with device. I've just been running tests on another laptop (sat next to the one i've been running before) and the disconnects still happen, but FAR less freqent...

I don't know how locked down the Sky routers are, but is it possible to try that as a WAP and see if that helps.

I googled that way back and seemed like a dead end sadly... 😞
