Yes once the OP has a modem to connect it to. That was his problem, he was trying to use an ADSL modem rather than a VDSL one. He was using the correct settings for the router.
We moved house recently and BT came after activating the phoneline and removed the white Openreach box, so my HH5 is now connected straight in to the wall socket.
Can I use the HH5 to connect to the internet and supply the N66U with an internet connection via the WAN port?
Thanks
I'm having a similar problem. Replaced the old HH2 with a tplink 8817 modem and a Asus RT-N56u router. Set up and worked very nicely. Have now upgraded to the Asus RT-N66u router and everytime I try to connect I get the same error message "timing out when detecting connection type" which in the log says "timing out for PADO packets".
Does anybody have a solution for this?
Thanks
Neil
