No gmails account yet my bt emails double up in gmail on my phone

I have a bt account and no other, yet on my phone emails go into gmail as well as my bt account. How, why and can I stop this from happening?

do you have android or iphone? if android you would setup gmail account to access apps in playstore

How do you access your email on your phone? Did you set up your BT email account on the gmail app?

Always had bt email but now you have me thinking, I think I need to look further into my accounts as I am no longer with bt just my email address is the same as I have had for years.

As an aside, if you are no longer with BT and are not paying £7.50/m for Premium mail, be aware your account may be deleted at any time without warning.

So if your emails are important to you (including ones sent), make sure you've got some form of backup that doesn't rely on logging into email.
