No lights on Broadband Extender Flex 500,can Wi-Fi Home Hotspot 500 be connected directly to HomeHub

Hoping someone can help with this.

 

I've noticed other posts about this but I can't seem to see a solution.  All the lights are out on my Broadband Extender Flex 500 which means as a result, my Wi-Fi Home Hotspot 500 will not connect to the network.

 

If there are no fixes for this, can the Wi-Fi Home Hotspot 500 be connected wirelessly to the HomeHub as an extender?  I've tried connecting by WPS to no avail.

 

If the Wi-Fi Home Hotspot 500 can be connected directly, either by WPS or through the HomeHub's admin menu, please let me know.
