Noise Margin Reset Request?

Hi, I was pleased with my connection for a long while as the router stayed in sync for 36 Days but for some reason the Home Hub 4 restarted which descreased my IP profile.

Below is what it use to be before it resynced after 36 Days:

03:37:22, 13 Mar.( 69.540000) DSL noise margin: 6.00 dB upstream, 6.20 dB downstream
03:37:22, 13 Mar.( 69.470000) DSL line rate: 352 Kbps upstream, 1216 Kbps downstream

I found this message in my Home Hub 4 Event Log:

04:47:02, 18 Apr.(3110990.510000) The system is going DOWN for reboot.
04:47:02, 18 Apr.(3110990.510000) OpenRG is going for reboot by IPC command
04:46:57, 18 Apr.(3110985.510000) OpenRG will go down for reboot in 5 seconds

I found it strange, as the Home Hub 4 never got turned off by anyone or restarted, It then kept connected till May 1st until I decided to restart the Hub in hope it would resync at a higher speed. It was at this sync speed till I restarted:

03:48:25, 18 Apr.( 78.910000) DSL noise margin: 6.00 dB upstream, 6.30 dB downstream
03:48:25, 18 Apr.( 78.740000) DSL line rate: 352 Kbps upstream, 1088 Kbps downstream

Unfortunatly the restart didn't increase the profile which I knew probably wouldn't work, so it is currently synced at:

19:04:15, 01 May.( 77.150000) DSL noise margin: 6.00 dB upstream, 8.00 dB downstream
19:04:15, 01 May.( 76.940000) DSL line rate: 352 Kbps upstream, 992 Kbps downstream

I was thinking could a moderator reset my Noise margin so I can sync back near 6.0dB?

Thanks in advance, Justin.

Re: Noise Margin Reset Request?

Hi just been 3 days stable heres my stats:

19:04:15, 01 May.( 77.150000) DSL noise margin: 6.00 dB upstream, 8.00 dB downstream
19:04:15, 01 May.( 76.940000) DSL line rate: 352 Kbps upstream, 992 Kbps downstream

Hasn't changed and has remained stable. I was wondering if I could have my latency type set to fast rather than interleaved since I usually game on my internet, would there be a speed change if I went to fast rather than interleaved? If there is less bandwidth on fast I would rather stay on interleaved. Thanks in advance

Once the Forum Mods have read your post they will post an invite here, once you reply to them they will take personal ownership of the problem until resolved.

Do not send them a Personal Message as this is the incorrect contact method and cannot be properly tracked also the mod contacted may not be on shift for sometime and this will delay your help.

The forum mods normally reply within 3/5 working days after you have contacted them via their contact form
They will contact you personally by email or phone.

Re: Noise Margin Reset Request?

Can you go to hub manager then troubleshooting then helpdesk and post the stats

With your long line fast may make it less stable especially if the noise margin is reduced down to normL 6 db

Re: Noise Margin Reset Request?

Just checking the stats to see if you were in fact on interleaved - which you are

I still think you would be better getting noise margin reset and see how that goes and if line stays stable then come back and ask mods to change to fast
