Non receipt of emails from another BT account

I have a BT Internet  and I use Windows Live Mail 2012, I can send emails to a contact who also has a BT Internet account.

When the contact sends a email from a laptop to my account I do not receive it. but if it is sent from phone I receive it via BT Cloud.

I also recive it if its sent from either phone or laptop tpanother email address ie Virgin. I have checked for Blocked or Scam blocking and all are clear and I have also added contact to safe contact list all without any success.

A message on BT help suggested  removing my accout in the email account and re setting it up again, also no success

Neither my virus or firewall software has any blocks set.

Can anyone help please
