Thx Neil - I appreciate your are poised to release info when made available .... just find it so strange that BT Product Mgmt dont understand that users need good communication.
I guess it is a shame they don't test these updates before they roll them out?
I have just given up recording some programs, especially the ones with back to back episodes.

A fix should be included in the next update which is due to be released in October although an exact date still hasn’t been confirmed.
In the meantime we’re working on a short term fix at the moment but I don’t have much information on what this would be yet.

Thx for the update - and altho I repeat myself, how hard would it be for the relevant Dept. to make that Announcement to the installed base of G4 customers?
I've asked that question - as they continue to issue the G4 box, more customers will complain, so have asked how will they inform customers of this issue at signup to the service and to existing customers.
I believe it was Volvo (some years back when the car price differentials Europe vs UK were astounding) who, when asked about abolishing the practice said:-
