Afternoon everyone thanks for letting me join.
Reading through all the number porting posts, I have learned a lot. Just leaves me with one small question.
So I am with Virgin and my account got disconnected for my own silly reason, But got connected the very next day, The Land line came back with a different number. The number is owned by BT. Now Virgin say they cant get it back as it was released.
If BT owns this number, Will i be able to get this number back if i become a new customer with BT again. As we where 13 years ago at this address we are at now. ?
Thanks

if you received the phone number from BT at your current address then yes by becoming a BT customer you could request the old number - but you would need to get package setup with a new number before requesting the number you previously had. mods can help after account up and running and although not guaranteed customers do mostly get number
Thank you for the quick answer.
Is there a time limit on how long a number is disconnected before it is given to someone else ?
Is there anything else would stop me getting the number back please ?
regards
if you read other posts about number porting problems and customers joining BT to get number back from memory I think they all succeeded mostly with mod assistance
Thanks for your help with this ill give BT a call and see what can be done.
Very Kind Regards
