I appreciate this is a common issue that has been expressed in other threads, I have tried to understand other posts but sadly I do not have the technical capacity to resolve my own problem..
In summary my broadband connection is slow... Reminds me of dial-up...!
I have completed the http://www.speedtester.bt.com/ as directed in other threads and I have the result of 'DOWNLOAD SPEED (Mbps): 0.32
ADSL Stats as follows:
|ADSL line status|
My phone line has the capacity of up to 8 Mb, I am 1 mile away from the exchange.
I am using a BT Home Hub 2.0.
If someone could help it would be appreciated!
If any further information is required to diagnose the issue, please advise!

Thanks for your prompt reply.
I restarted the Hub yesterday to see if it made a difference... I will not do it again.
Tried the test call option 2, heard nothing as described.
I have run the test again full results as follows:
according to you attenuation you are about 3.3km line length from the exchange and with your modulation you are on adsl2+ up to 20mb however due to your line length the likely speed is about 6.5/7mb
you connection time shows 3+ days so reset must be further back than you think.
are you conencted to the master or better the test socket? do you have other sockets apart from the master?
Ah perhaps it was reset on Thursday or Friday..
I am connected via the test socket, there is 3 sockets in total in the house, the master is not used for anything, the test for broadband and the phone line throught the home hub, and there is another socket used for an additional phone.
as you are already connected to the test socket the other sockets are not working. You now have 3+ days solid connection so I would contact the mods andrequest your noise margin is reset to 6db which is normal. This should increase your speed to 6/7mb http://bt.custhelp.com/app/contact_email/c/4951
Thanks for the link, i have emailed and requested that setting to be adjusted, and to review all other settings! Once that has been completed i will conduct another test and hope that it works!
Thanks for your help.
can take 2/3 days for mods to get back to you
My settings have been adjusted and just after confirmation in regards to the new ones, and if the speed seems better!
