Just wanted to ask some Questions as i have the BT home hub 4 with a HG612 openreach modem. Would I benifit from a home hub 6 as i have herd some bt modem/routers can cause less speed than the original older type modem/routers.
I have read that some people see a speed decrese and also herdsome get a littile bit more, the problem is i dont want to get slower speeds so was wanting to know if this is true
why is that ?
also what would happen if the HG612 broke down would bt replace it with that same modem or the HH6 ?
if your existing setup with separate modem is working ok then I would not make any changes. if modem stopped working then it an openreach modem not BT so would not be replaced but more likely you would get a HH5
The homehub 5/6 dont connect any faster than the HG612. If you are not happy with the router part buy a proper router
My hg612 only synced at 76mbps whereas my hh5 gets the full 80mbps with room to spare.
thanks for the help.
I have been reading that it depends on the cabinet your on to if you get an improvment but i am not to sure.
Hi there I checked ny cabinet and i am on a ECI ?
