just a thought,if youview gets no better after update on 6th[sure it wont]can we just plug in old vision box and go back to vision.or would i have to ring bt to tell them first.

Hi bobjob

 

Not saying it is this but the DHCP renews after 24 hours. To increase this -

  • Go to http://bthomehub.home
  • Click on Settings
  • Log in with your username and password
  • Click on Advanced Settings
  • Click on Continue to advanced settings
  • Click on Home Network
  • Click on IP Addresses.
  • Click on the DHCP lease time and change it to the maximum of 21 days and click Apply


This has no affect on any devices.

DS it came up with a warning,says i will have to change ip addresses to all devices,??,i chickened out.

Hmm, I'll have to see if I can fish out a good working hub2 and see this for myself:o

(I've used and abused several hub2's over the years, but I'm sure at least one is unmodified)

 

I know the hub3 does allows you to change it without getting such a message.

Got this problem. Really annoying. Happening every day and box needs to be unplugged. Device is not fit for purpose as far as I can see.

I have Hub 3, this has happened twice in the last week, after just over a month of no such problem at all.

Happened again this evening, went to the Vision portal and after waiting ages got a "not connected" error. Went to on demand and got the yv error message. Rebooted box, all was find again.

i think my box is falling to bits and its only 2 weeks old,not only do i have to reset box daily, last night it would not switch off,either with remote and yes it was set on pvr or by pressing power button on box,had to turn power off/on button on back,then this morning i noticed i had lost 21 channels off guide so had to retune.all i did last night was watch one 30 min on demand program??
