Its out side BT's network, maybe they will get in touch with Level3 to see what going on. BTW which servers did you use, I was on BF4 last night (do every night) and had no massive spikes like that, but your are interleaved like my connection.
Good Luck......

Thanks for the reply bartman1967, you say it is outside BT's network but it is BT who supply me my Broadband so surely it's upto BT to resolve my problem? My mate on talk talk gets a better connection than me and pays total cost of £5 a month compared to my £26 just for my broadband?
How can BT be responsible for something outside their network. They are responsible to supply you a connection to the Internet and after that it is outwith their control.
See their Terms and Conditions
Does it grind to a halt when using it normally or only when you play the BF4 game.
I can be browsing and all of a sudden the web page won't load, so i test connection if i am wireless and comes back nothing wrong "is it a specific website i am trying to reach" then i refresh and it starts loading. i can be using youtube through an App (on tv, xbox one etc wired and wireless) and it just won't load the video or just stops, then i try a few times and it'll work fine again.
Gaming is a nightmare, same server on BF4 on ps4 or xbox one and same group of players, all is fine people dropping like flies or dying as they should then alll of a sudden bam empy clip after clip into someone and nothing, yet my mate on talk talk still plays fine... so not game or server?
If you have a general problem with your connection you may be fogging the issue by posting as you have, that it is a gaming problem. You should get the main problem sorted and the gaming will probably improve as well.
I am not telling you anything. I was only suggesting that if you have problems in general not to get side tracked thinking it was only a gaming problem. You would appear to be sure it is only a gaming problem so fair enough. Also, as I said, I can't see how BT can be responsible for problems outside their network.
